Sponsor a Child
The sponsorship program at Baan Dada’s provides a very important contribution to the children’s education and living necessities, giving them hope for a successful future. Aside from a traditional education, the children at the home are taught to help themselves and be self-sufficient. By drawing and selling cards, bookmarks, and posters, they are able to help contribute money to their own educational fund.
OUR HOME IS PROACTIVE IN HELPING IT SELF
Due to an increase in tuition and food costs, it has become difficult for the money from the sponsorship alone to pay for all the children’s needs. Two of the boys are now in technical school which costs 40,000 baht for each boy per semester (roughly $2700 USD; 80,000 baht each year) for tuition alone.On top of this we have 4 children (1 girl and 3 boys) enrolled in university this year. Many of the older children are going to high school about 30 minutes away; so along with tuition and uniforms, gas for the truck has become a big expense. There has been a continuous increase in the area, the cost of rice as well as fruits and vegetables. While we are continuing to grow our own food and become more self-sustained, some plants are either more difficult to grow, take many months/years to grow enough to produce food, or simply cannot be grown in the soil here.
HOW YOU CAN HELP?
Because of this, we are now seeking sponsors who can either pay both a child’s basic food and healthcare, as well as education for 3000 baht per month, OR choose either the basic food and healthcare for 2000 baht, or the education alone for 1000 baht per month for each child.***
As part of the sponsorship program you will receive updates from the home throughout the year, including a photo of the child, a handmade drawing or letter, and a brief update on his or her current activities and well-being. The Home’s monthly newsletter, located on the website, is also full of great, up-to-date information on the happenings around Baan Dada.
Currently there are about twenty boys and girls, aged 4 – 21 years needing sponsorship from reliable and financially able sponsors. If you are interested in sponsoring a child at the home please contact us for information about the children seeking sponsors or any questions you may have.

Please note: The funds receieved from the sponsorship program not only assist that particular child but go to the Home as a whole to help all of the children.
